Week 5 MTC - Highlighting all the Czech/Slovak missionaries!
So, since last week I didn't send
very many pictures... we took a million this week! It was great. My camera has
so many pictures!
This week has been dobře! As always!
We started out the week with Valentine's Day on Tuesday, and the night before
Sestra Hayden and I stayed up late make little "Platonitine" cards
for all of our Starsí! We wrote down funny valentines that were completely void
of romance but rather filled with beautiful sass, sarcasm, and inside jokes!
Best Valentine's day ever! That night we had our weekly Tuesday devotional and
Starší Ballard came to talk to us. He talked about goal setting and it´s
importance in the mission field and even afterwards. It was so amazing!
Other than that we basically just
all bonded over picture taking and realizing that Starší Reines doesn't have
any pictures on the blog! So we decided that everyone would get a special spot
on the blog this week.
We´ll go around the room.
Starší Petersen. The only person I´ve met who might be going to SVU. That
just tells you how awesome he is, right?! Plus, he sassy. He´s from Michigan (I
think) and he has creepy photos of himself as you can see...
Then we have Starší Gubler. Class clown basically who has a contagious
laugh. And ¨he´s from Vegas¨ (Quoting Sestra Pulley).
Next we have Starší Wutzke, who just this week learned how to take selfies
using a camera... and he´s from the homeland Texas!
Starší
Reines... poor thing, is a wonderful person who greets you with a
huge ¨AHOJ!¨ every morning and for some reason doesn´t have any pictures on the
blog at all... He´s from Chicago - and maybe it´s just me but I´m pretty sure I
can hear the accent...
Starší
Andrus, second-to-last and he´s basically a superman enthusiast who
looks quite similar to Clark Kent - glasses and all. Super friendly and grins
with his entire face... and I´m honestly not sure where he´s from.
Starší Kevern, our Czech specialist, best of the class and super great to
have around. Talks about how great his family is, which is sweet, and how much
he loves to dance. He´s from somewhere around the mountain bend (in Utah).
Now onto the Sestrý. We have Sestra Johnson who also dances. She§s wonderful and sweet and
caring and gets letters from her family and possibly her muž all the time.
She§s been going to BYU-I and lives over there in the land of potatoes where
bring-your-tractor to school day.
Sestra Hayden is tall. I think that´s enough... just kidding, she´s
great. She played volleyball in college in Oklahoma (I think that´s where it
was) and she´s the most talkative one of us all which is going to be super
helpful on her mission.
Sestra
Ludlow is moje společnice and she´s great! She´s from Texas -
Houston area and one day we´re going to meet up after our missions and hang out
at a Czech Stop in Texas and it´s going to be grand.
Sestra
Pulley is
the last of whom I will speak. My secondary companion who is wonderful! She´s
going to Slovakia, and she´s the only one. The other two people learning Slovak
are going to England so when she meets all of the missionaries in Slovakia she
isn´t going to know anyone... She´ll make friends.
Anyway, I´ll send all of the
pictures! Love you all! I can´t wait to one day speak Czech fluently and be
able to have conversations with Starší Dossett the Polish-speaker!
