Česká republika - Week 11 Olomouc (some names changed for privacy)

Sámot, Sestra Sadler & Sestra Pulley

I'm in a hurry to write today because we're about to go and see a castle... exciting! And there are others that need to use the computers too!

But on Saturday, Sámot got baptized!!! It was so cool! The water was cold, the wind was freezing, his dog swam out into the lake before Starší Zapalač brought her back out, Sámots' parents came, and it was beautiful! I even gave a talk on the Holy Ghost... or rather I testified of it :)

Also our new elders here are Starší Fuqua and Jarvis - the greenies, Starší Gauldin, and the senior couple - the Walkers!

Love you all! Enjoy the pictures!

Me & my companion, Sestra Pulley - The restaurant sign always has a fresh potato with it.

Česká republika - Week 10 Olomouc (some names changed for privacy)

Transfer 4!
So, I got a new companion!!!! Or rather.... an old one! Sestra PULLEY!!!!!! My Slovak companion from the trio I was in, in the MTC!
But, this was my last week with Sestra Peterson... I do, however get to talk to her every week because... she's a Sister Training Leader now!!!!
This week we had a lot of goodbyes, a lot of packing... Sestra Peterson left for Prague this morning, Starší Plewe left to be a zone leader in Plzeň, Starší Cardon left for the other zone and will be in Třebič. Starší Wutzke will stay here as district leader and will be training a greenie! And Starší Zapalč is having Starší Gauldin come to follow-up train him and train a greenie... Starší Zapalač is not the one training though haha :)

Anyway... this week we taught Sámot some more, and he had his baptismal interview. He's going to be getting baptized this Saturday and we're all so excited for him! He has learned so much and has changed his life so much for the gospel! It's so beautiful what the gospel can bring into people's lives. Christ's gospel truly is for everyone. It's something that brings eternal joy.

Which speaking of joy... we met someone on the streets that we will hopefully have a meeting with this week who was not interested at all in the gospel until we started talking about eternal joy. It's something that as members we just have such great testimony in because of the Plan of Salvation.
I love you all!!!! I hope you have an amazing week! Keep me updated on everything!

Mám vás rada!!!!

Česká republika - Week 9 Olomouc (some names changed for privacy)

So, this week was very long! But of course, always in a good way!
It started off with us doing some service for one of our members here in Olomouc who recently found an apartment for him and his wife! We're cleaning the heck out of that place! It looks so much better now, we even did some more cleaning up this morning. It was so much fun! We had Starší Plewe and Zapalač there with us too! There was some intense carpet-cleaning and door/door-frame cleaning on all of our parts hahaha! 😉

Then on Wednesday, we got on a train going to Šumperk to meet with Sámot... And this time we didn't basically go to Poland... we made it to Šumperk (even though we almost didn't make it). So here's the story: Once upon a time, two sestrý got on a train to Šumperk and got into the back of this particular train.  However at one point in time, we decided to get into the train cart ahead of us and ask the train director where we were supposed to get off to be able to get to Šumperk. Turns out, we made the right choice in moving up because right after we did that, that last train cart got disconnected! In the end, the Spirit is the best companion! And, we made it to our lesson with Sámot about the Word of Wisdom! It's a tough lesson but we've been calling him every day just to make sure he's keeping it and he's very honest with us and is trying his hardest and has improved just so much! Sámot is literally the best! 🙃

On Friday we had some interesting contacts...There was another church in town and they were contacting as well which was a little strange for us and we kind of contacted each other. I started a contact with  one lady who talked a lot about how her church speaks with the gift of angelic tongues... and about how our church isn't true because we don't speak in tongues and we don't understand... Well that was interesting. I simply bore testimony about the Book of Mormon and the Holy Ghost and Prayer. I didn't feel super great after that contact, but at the end of the day, I knew that my testimony had been strengthened and so honestly, that was such a growing opportunity for me that I am thankful for 😃.

Saturday was amazing! We went to Brno to do a service project! It's called the Wallace Toronto Project/Foundation. we helped clean up a park and cut down a bunch of trees so that people doing not so smart things (like illegal drugs) - don't hang out in the bushes next to this children's park. And then some others painted the building of a safe shelter for the Romani Gypsies😊It was really cool! Plus I got to see all of my MTC people that I don't see at training's. Our district was the only one that came from our zones to do this with the other two zones that we don't ever have training's with.

Česká republika - Week 8 Olomouc (some names changed for privacy)

So last week, on Monday, we went to the hospital and found out that Sestra Peterson had a virus... So she was exhausted all the time and basically confined to our bedroom all week... I ended up doing lots of calls because of this... So, not very much happened this week honestly.

From Sestra Peterson: "Well yes I am alive. Don't you even worry. This week consisted of a lot of sleep... I was home ALL week. Talk about a let down! It was kinda stressful.. being in a house all day and when we went outside for the hour I was allowed.. I thought I was gonna die. Couldn't breathe! Its all good though. My dear sweet companion nursed me back to health! I am not 100 percent.. but I am for sure doing A LOT better! Cant wait to just get back to work and find these elect Czechs!!! "

We did, however get to meet Sámot, our progressing investigator here, twice and have the elders meet with him once as well! Everything is working out well. We've taught him most of what he needs to know and he just loves it so much! He wants to share it with everyone he meets! And, he's not even a member yet hahahaha! He's so excited to get baptized and we're so excited for him!
On Friday, we had Zone Training again!!! And it was amazing of course! We got taught by an area 70 member and it was just such a nice experience! Zone training's are the best, they just pump all of us missionaries up so much!

Sorry this week's e-mail is a little on the shorter side... most likely next week's will be longer :)

Today we went bowling! I did pretty horribly at the beginning...extremely horrible then I jumped up to okay... not quite like what I used to be... when I was eleven years old hahaha... oh well!

Love you all!
Mám vás rádi!!!
