Česká republika - Week 1 Plzeň (some names changed for privacy)

Such a crazy week!!!
I'll start off with last P-Day. We didn't do much but it was still cool. For lunch we went to the Pivovar restaurant, the brewery that makes Plzeň, Plzeň. We ate bread-bowl goulash which was amazing!!!

And then Sestra Andersen and I ate paličinký... I'm not really sure how you spell that... but the're basically like crěpes!
We then took a trip to this mall called Olympia on the outskirts of our area. We went into Marks and Spencers, a little shop of craziness called Tiger that has so much diverse stuff in it. And while looking in all of the shops, I think I've basically decided to mostly wear European clothes when I return :P

On Wednesday, I had Skip pie, which is a meat pie... mine was filled with kangaroo, it tasted really good, and I think I'll let y'all think about that one because I don't have much time to write left...
On Thursday, Sestra Andersen and I met with our current progressing investigator, Ešubil. She is so wonderful! She seems to understand the gospel so well, everything just makes sense to her! We had a member teach with us, who was the thrid member in Plzeň ever, she's so old, but so sweet and so direct... everzone in the Czech Republic is direct... they do not beat around the bush here .Our lesson was on the Plan of Salvation and she finally came to church on Sunday!! Which Sestra Andersen said they had been trying to do since the beginning at the beginningish of February!

On Friday, we went to a progressive training in Brno. We had to wake up at 4 in the morning to get there on time! And then on Saturday, we went to Prague for our Stake Relief Society Conference. They were amazing! I got to see all of my old MTC peoples who I was missing a little!

We found a French lady through referral and she says she wants to talk when she gets back from her trip to France!!! I emailed her in French :)

Today's going to be amazing!!! I Love you all!!!

MTC - Week 9 & arrival into Prague!!!!

 Dobrý den!!!

So, our last week in the MTC was pretty strange... it was crazy what happened in our last weekend! After P-Day on Thursday, we had in-field orientation on Friday, and at the beginning of this, everyone in our district of Czechs found out that we were reassigned! We had people going to Salt Lake City West, Phoenix Ariyona, and two places in California - Fresno being the one I was assigned to all by my lonesome... everyone else had compadres thy would be traveling with - but not me.... Thankfully this reassignment did not happen! ....

And then, on that same day, Starší Raines found out he had a slight flu and so the nurses at the MTC through him into isolation, containment, club med, whatever you feel like calling it. He was there until Sunday morning and it was kind of sad not to have one of our MTC family members around for a couple of days... We were worried he might not be able to travel with us, but he was able to! Don't worry!

Pictures of our trip to the airport in Utah...

When we arrived in the Czech Republic a bunch of us had lost carry-ons (because they'd been taken to the luggage area on the flight from Amsterdam), not me though. However the airline had somehow lost one of Starší Andrus' and one my actual lugage-type bags... fun times... we got them the next day though in time to get to our new districts! Before I move on to that though, our first night in the Czech Reoublic was in Prague and we were able to eat dinner there - svíčková - I wasn't the biggest fan but it was okay... I'm sure I'll love it by the end of mission though! Then we went out contacting on the metro which was super scary... Sestra Pulley - our Slovak sestra - and I were supposed to talk to someone... but our fears got the better of us...

svíčková

Now I'm Plzeň - pronounced pill-se-ñ - along with Starší Raines, we're the "greenies", but we've got ourselves some pretty awesome trainers! There are three companionships here in Plzeň, we have Starší Anderson and Pickett who have a car, Starší Raines and his trainer Starší Brockbank, then me and my trainer Sestra Andersen! I don't have any pictures of the elders for this week but I promise some for next week! Our district is pretty užasné a skvělé and I just love it so much so far. The city we're in is super cute! We take trams, trains and buses everzwhere and it's a little weird but that's okay...

I arrived here on Wednesday and we contacted on that day as well as tracted. This time round I actually did speak - why? - because I have a wonderful trainer who pushes me outside of my comfortable bubble just enough to introduce us at the very least if I can't understand what I'm being told.

The third door we tracted was the weirdest of them all, I guess if you ring someone's doorbell they're going to come out in whatever thez'yre weraing... even if it is  just underwear and an undershirt. My companion still tried to talk to this man regardless!! How shocking that was! And then we had to talk to most of the people who answered through their windows! It was the weirdest experience ever.

Anyway, my time's just about over here for e-mailing...

I love youl all! Mám vás miluje!!!!

Orientation photos in the Czech Republic:

"Brother and Sister Sadler,
Just a quick note to let you know that your daughter arrived in Prague safe and sound.  We have attached her arrival picture with the President and his Wife.  She is on a walk around Prague right now to help her adjust to the time difference.  They will have dinner and then go to bed.  Tomorrow morning she will be assigned her trainer and then she will be off to her area.  On her P-day she can fill you in on everything else.
Thank you for sharing your daughter with us."

MTC - Week 8

Everyone departs for Czech Republic or Slovakia this week!!!
As our last full week is finished and we leave on Monday, things are going a little crazy here, its amazing but a little nerve-wracking. Oh well! :)
Anyway today we went to the temple for the last time for the next seventeen months minimum which is a little sad. But I know it's so that I can serve and teach the amazing people of the Czech Republic!
The language seems to be coming along nicely... of course I'm not going to think that when we get there! Our whole class is actually doing really well at it according to our teachers! Something funny that happened this week in our lessons with our "investigators"/teachers... in our last lesson with "Tomaš", we were looking up the word  - familiar - and it turns out that the word we used actually meant to be buddies or famous... so we either told him to be famous with the Kniha Mormonova or friendly with it hahahaha :) We laughed for a little while in that lesson, but that's okay!

This week has been great! We had a professional dress day, a floral day, and a Czech color day, just by the way for when pictures show up!

Love you all!!!!
Mám vás miluje!!!!
